Spring Break Musical Theatre Intensive
Are you a singer, dancer, performer, or all of the above? Are you between the ages of 8 and 17? If so, make the most of your spring break and improve your theater skills. The Forestburgh Playhouse Academy is offering a Spring Break Musical Theatre Intensive for children and teens.
The spring break program will focus specifically on musical theatre, including acting, singing, and dancing. If you have a child that is interested in this theater intensive one week day program, you can sign up here.
Program Benefits Include:
One-on-one professional instruction. Each student will receive individual instruction to further develop their talents and learn new skills along the way.
Skilled instructors from the theater industry. Teachers are skilled performers with professional experience in theater. They will be sharing their talents, advice, techniques, and strategies to bring out the best in every student.
Students will perform an original production for family and friends. At the end of the week the students will showcase their blossoming musical, dance, and performing skills in an original production that family and friends are welcome to attend.
Meaningful Use of Time Off School. If you wish to keep your children and teens busy and productive while they are out of school, the Spring Break Musical Theatre Intensive is a wonderful way to do that.
Areas of Study
Music/Vocal Technique. If your child excels at, or is interested in developing skills in, singing and voice, this program will reach your child at their current level and help them to take it to the next level. Individual vocal coaching can help a good singer to be excellent and a beginner to grow into their voice. There will be opportunities to sing with the group as well as solo opportunities.
Choreography/Dance. Do you have an aspiring dancer? The spring break program will involve learning new choreography as well as designing original choreography. Building on basic dance skills, students will learn more advanced movements and routines. One-on-one instruction will also be provided in dance to reach each student at their current level and help them soar to new heights (both figuratively and literally).
Performing/Acting. Does your child blossom in front of a crowd? Does performing come naturally to them? Theater may be just right for a lively, spirited child. Or perhaps you have a child or teen with extensive performance experience who needs more advanced instruction. Individual attention will be given to each student to develop their acting skills in their own unique way.
