What will the Playhouse and Tavern do to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patrons?

  • Creating a COVID-Clean Campus for your safety and enjoyment!

  • First and foremost, the Playhouse and Tavern have created safety guidelines and protocols as dictated by the CDC and New York State Department of Health and are monitoring updates constantly.  These guidelines consider every aspect of safety that concerns both patrons and staff at events hosted by the Playhouse and Tavern.  All staff members will be fully vaccinated and have necessary PPE during events and have been thoroughly trained in safety guidelines and protocols. 

  • Simple Safety Guidelines and Requirements:

    • Patrons will be required to acknowledge/certify that they have been fully vaccinated 2 weeks prior to attending the Playhouse and show proof of vaccination.

    • Patrons (all of which are vaccinated) are welcome to wear masks on the property.  The Playhouse can provide masks upon request.

  • Sanitizing stations will be available throughout the property

  • Simple Safety Guidelines and Requirements:

    • Patrons will be required to show proof of vaccination or recent negative COVID Test.  

      • The Forestburgh Playhouse understands that certain disease processes prohibit COVID vaccinations.  These patrons must wear a mask (except in their seating location). 

    • Mask wearing will be required--details of this protocol will be sent to patrons prior to the event. 

    • Distancing will continue to be implemented and sanitizing stations will be available throughout the property. 

  • What time do events begin and how long will they last?

    • Most events will begin at 7:30PM and last approximately an hour. 

  • Will there be an intermission? 

    • There will be no intermission during these events. 

  • What information will patrons receive prior to attending the events? 

    • Each patron will receive an email providing safety instructions and guidelines for the event.  In that email, the patron will receive information about pre-ordering food and drink, and restroom and bar usage guidelines.   Should the patron have further questions, a phone call can be scheduled. 

  • Will restrooms be available and if so, what are the guidelines for restroom usage?

    • Restrooms will be available and sanitized, prior to, during and after the event.  The line for restrooms will have spaced out marked positions for patrons waiting in line.  A bathroom attendant standing outside the restrooms will serve as a monitor.

    • Depending on the particular restroom, only one or two patrons will be allowed in a restroom at a time. 

    • Prior to entering, the patron shall utilize a handless sanitizing station.  Patrons shall be directed to wash their hands prior to exiting the restroom.  Upon exiting, the patron shall use the handless sanitizing station a second time. 

    • Patrons will be required to wear masks

  • Can I bring my own food and drink to the event?

    • No outside food or drink will be permitted on the property.  Food and drink can be pre-ordered online, and an outdoor bar will be available during the event.  Food can be ordered on the Playhouse website or the Tavern website. 

  • If I have lawn seats, can I bring my own blanket or lawn chairs? 

    • Yes! 

  • What if it rains?  Thunderstorm/Inclement Weather? 

    • The show will continue if it is raining. 

    • The show will be postponed in the event of a thunderstorm or dangerous/Inclement weather. Patrons may wait in cars for conditions to improve.  Should the conditions not improve within 30 minutes of the original start time, the event will be cancelled, and patrons will receive a refund.  

All events will take place outdoors in our award-winning gardens.  Tent seating and lawn seating will be available.  Picnic baskets packed to the brim with tasty food and refreshing cocktails will be available to pre-order and an outdoor bar will be open during the events. 

Socially Distant and Closer than Ever

Our audiences in the garden will be comfortable seated in socially distanced locations under the tent or in lawn seating.  All attendees will be able to relax and enjoy the magic of live entertainment and share the experience of a lifetime responsibly and safely. 

Most events will start at 7:30PM and will last one hour, without intermission.  Restrooms will be available for usage during the performance.  A restroom attendant will be present to ensure adherence to safety protocols.  

All ticket-holders will receive guidelines and protocols prior to arrival and will be seated in comfortable, socially distanced locations.
