Palimpsest is a self-referential, meta-comedy about who gets to tell what story, what it means to create art based on real events, and what we owe each other when it comes to telling the truth.

 

Ali Rose Dachis*

Before moving to New York Ali made an artistic home at The Guthrie Theater, appearing in a dozen shows, including the regional premiere of Annie Baker’s Circle Mirror Transformation, and Adam Rapp’s one woman show The Edge of Our Bodies. Ali has worked with Fault Line Theatre, Roundabout, The Factory, New Georges, The Old Globe, Frantic Assembly, Backroom Shakespeare, and more.  Film: Unicornland, Match Perfect, The Magnificent Eve, The Last Breath. Television: Fatal Encounters. Voice-over artist for Target, Disney, and many PSA’s Training: U of MN/Guthrie Actor Training Program.

Anna Sundberg*
(Alix)

Anna is delighted to join Forestburgh Playhouse for the first time. Anna has workshopped a countless number of new plays at The Playwrights' Center in Minneapolis. She has also done readings/workshops with Roundabout Theatre Company, Playwrights Horizons, Clubbed Thumb, and Fiasco Theater. She has performed at the Guthrie Theater, Virginia Stage Company, Great River Shakespeare Festival, GreenHouse Theatre Project, Ten Thousand Things, Jungle Theater, Children's Theatre Company, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and many more. She appears in the FX series "Fargo," the film "I Am Not A Serial Killer" (with Christopher Lloyd), and the latest addition to the popular "V/H/S" horror franchise, "V/H/S/85," directed by Mike P. Nelson. Anna also has experience touring the South Island of New Zealand playing a sheep.

Melissa Mitchem

Melissa Mitchem is excited to work at Forestburgh Playhouse, a small dream she’s had since her time at Rider University where she received a BA in Acting. She also has an MFA from Savannah College of Art and Design. Some of her favorite credits include The Mountaintop (SCAD), Ajax (Cherry Artspace), Everybody (SCAD) and a short independent film called Walk the Plank.
